Dealing with the Dutchies – Saturday, October 27International Cafe @ Facebook
Dear international students,
It was great to meet many of you on September 29 at the home of artist Henk Helmantel.
Now we are planning our October event, which will focus on Dutch culture and some international cultural differences. For many an eye-opener into things you have not understood so far in your life as a student in Groningen! If the Dutch are blunt, does that mean they don’t like me? When can I just drop in and when do I have to make an appointment? Get more insight into funny and awkward situations related to where people come from!
We will also be serving the typical Dutch stamppot, so come and try it! As usual we will have vegetarian food for those who don’t eat meat. And there will be some special Dutch sweets for dessert, as well as a few other goodies for you to taste.
Date – Saturday, October 27, 2018
The location of this meeting will be at Het Pand, Madoerastraat 16 in Groningen. We will have a banner at the entrance to the alley leading to Het Pand. Check our website for some photos of the neighbourhood and directions on how to get there.
18.00 to 22.00 — Come on time. Coffee and tea are served at 18.00 and dinner at 18.30. Get the good food while it is hot!
€3.00 — Be sure to bring cash, preferably change.
