Invitation for January event – Indian night! – Saturday, January 26, 2019
Dear international students,
After a great Christmas dinner and some holiday time we are here again to invite you to a new event. On Saturday January 26 Deepika and Soukhi will take the lead in cooking an authentic Indian meal for us. If a few of you want to learn from them, you are also welcome to come and help in the afternoon, starting at 15.00! If you want to help with the cooking, contact JoAnn van Seventer. You may get some great ideas for your own kitchen!
This time all of our dishes will be vegetarian so that everyone can taste everything. We will also show a short film by an Indian director, and some clips of Indian dances performed during Diwali, one of India’s leading events, the Festival of Light.
Be sure to join us for fun, good food, and conversation with students from many different cultures.
The location of this meeting of International Café will be Het Pand, Madoerastraat 16 in Groningen. We will have a banner at the entrance to the alley leading to Het Pand. Check our website for some photos of the neighbourhood and directions on how to get there.
