Invitation for Saturday, March 29International Cafe @ Facebook
To all international students,
We would like to invite you to our regular monthly meeting of International Café on Saturday, March 29, 2014. This will be our last time in the NSG building at Hereweg 1, as after this we will have a new location! So do come and join us.
This time Hinke and Martin will share some information about your host country, the Netherlands, and also explain what you can expect on the celebration of King Willem Alexander´s big day, King´s Day, at the end of April. There will also be plenty of time for games and conversation!
As usual there will be a meal of soup and bread, followed by tea, coffee and cake. The evening is free. There is a red box available if you wish to make a contribution.
We will have NO APRIL MEETING. King´s Day will be celebrated all over the Netherlands on April 26 and you don´t want to miss all the great festivities.
Our next event will be on Saturday, May 31 at our new location, Het Pand (Dutch for The Building). The address is Madoerastraat 16. (We will put a map on our website.) On this day we invite you all to bring some food from your own culture so that we can share the wonderful tastes from all over the world. Our new location will have a spacious kitchen where we can warm up the various dishes.
Many of you have requested excursions, and we are pleased to announce that we will visit a Dutch farm on June 28th. This is a yearly event which we organize for those still in Groningen for the summer. More information will follow in a separate invitation.
IMPORTANT: If you have signed up but for some reason are not able to come will you please let us know as soon as you can so that we know how much food will be needed!
Welcome! And bring along your friends.
Paul Nieboer, Hans and JoAnn van Seventer, Hinke van Abbema and Martin Geertsma
