Outing to Henk Helmantel – September 29, 2018International Cafe @ Facebook
Dear international students,
After enjoying a nice warm summer we would like to invite you to our very first event of the new season – an excursion to one of the best known artists of the Netherlands, Henk Helmantel. The artist lives in the old village of Westeremden in a beautifully rebuilt medieval parsonage, next to a church dating from before 1250. Here the artist himself will give you a tour of his amazingly realistic paintings of church interiors and still lifes in the Dutch figurative tradition. At present a large collection of Helmantel’s work is on exhibit at the Chimei Museum in Taiwan, already seen by more than 80,000 visitors. We will also serve a typically Dutch meal, also with food for vegetarians.
Date – Saturday, September 29, 2018
